GameDaily’s inaugural event at the Disneyland Hotel is going to feature a number of big names in marketing, including the likes of Facebook, Konami, and Vungle to share their tips and tricks for navigating advertising in the Growth track.

Mark your calendars for August 27 when GameDaily Connect kicks off. The panels this year will have experts from GameDaily.biz, Vungle, Konami, Facebook, and Riot Games. If you’re interested in learning more about how to make the most of different marketing methods or how to nail down some platform-specific knowledge about analytics, then you won’t want to miss out.

Having a finished product out there is half the battle as a developer. Leading up to and after launch, there’s also the matter of contending with press, while also ensuring that your product has the reach that it needs to be profitable. Demystifying the process around communicating with journalists and influencers is an important component of achieving that success.

GameDaily.biz’s Editor-at-large, James Brightman, will be joined by freelance writer Michael Futter (author of The GameDev Business Handbook) on a panel moderated by GameDaily Editor-in-Chief Amanda Farough. They’ll discuss the variance between industry and consumer journalists, how best to ensure that you know what different outlets need from you if you want to land a coveted story spot, and more.

Konami will also be making an appearance at a panel on influencer marketing, which will cover what’s currently trending in the field and how best to use the streaming machine to ensure that you’re getting the growth and reach that you want out of your game.

If you’re concerned about number crunching and the mobile sector, then you won’t want to miss MoPub and WB Games’ panel on how to ensure that analytics work to your advantage without sacrificing your creative vision.

Those with a more keen interest in how the mobile or indie game parts of the market work specifically will also be well-served by Facebook’s panel on player retention through smarter marketing and monetization for smaller games that may have otherwise flown under the radar.

GameDaily Connect spans four parts of the globe each year. The games industry is a huge business worldwide, but not all markets are created equal. Vungle and Riot Games will have some handy tips and tricks about ad spending outside of the United States and how to avoid some common pitfalls when courting emerging markets.
